They
were wonderful two weeks where not only did
I learn a lot but also got to know the country
and its people in a new kind of way. Even on a
high level you can still learn a lot. |

Cusco
may be smaller than some Latin American large cities, but
whoever is afraid to experience boredom here will be proven
utterly wrong. And as far as the language institute is concerned,
I have a lot of experience with language institutes and
it’s difficult to surpass this one!! So do yourselves
the favor and plan at least 4 weeks here and treat yourself
to the experience of a host family.

As a
recent and completely new visitor to Cusco, I just could
not have been happier to learn Spanish at ACUPARI. Everyone
was so kind and welcoming and after some organisation to
sort out my group tuition, I was immediately off to a good
start. I hardly spoke any English at all which was probably
a good thing, but the system of linking up with a "Tandem
Partner" also worked extremely well an not onlyu did
I make new friends, but also improved my listening/speaking
skills dramatically and really got to know in more depth
the Cusquenan way of life (apart from being just a tourist!).
I would recommend ACUPARI to anyone who wants to improve
their Spanish and the proof is that I will be coming back
this summer for more practise which I can't wait for!

Acupari
is a place where people from different cultures and with different
languages meet. In my three week course, I learned a lot:
on one hand the language, and on the other a lot about the
culture and Peru.
We had excursions, danced Salsa, talked about current issues
and laughed a lot.
I was also very lucky because I had the nicest Tamden partner
in Cusco. During my four weeks, we went out almost every afternoon.
Thanks to her, I spoke a lot of Spanish.
I did enjoy my time in ACUPARI and I would have liked to spend
more time here.

A name, a commitment
- Competent teachers
- Good teaching material
- Individual attention
- Lots of communication opportunities
- A chance to get to know the culture
- Excursions

All of these helped us to have an unforgettable time and a
profitable Spanish course.
Here in Acupari, our knowledge was improved and strengthen.
Acupari is a worthwhile school.

What I
find specially positive is that not only does ACUPARI offer
the opportunity to learn a language, but also to learn about
the culture.
Through the relationship with the teachers and the TANDEM
partners, you are able to get an authentic picture of this
wonderful city and its people.

What can
i say about ACUPARI? Perfect organisation in all, like transfer,
excursions. techaching. The accomodation with the peruvian
family is very helpfully to learn to speak spanisch.
Harmly ist only that at the end of the time the is more Cusco,
Peru and ACUPARI to know. But that's a warranty to come back.

Unfortunately,
I only had two weeks for a Spanish Course in ACUPARI, but
I must say it was worth it. The cordiality of the school team,
the pleasant atmosphere, in which learning took place, the
grouping with few students, the appropriate selection of the
content, all of these, brought an enormous progress in my
learning without the well-known school stress.
The accommodation in a nice family that made feel at home,
as well as the TANDEM practice benefited the practice outside
the classroom.
Along with the language course, cooking and salsa classes
as well as excursions took place during weekdays, so that
there was enough time to get to know this delightful spot
in the south of Peru that made me become fond of Cusco. |

I don't have a bad word to say about ACUPARI. The staff were
very friendly an as helpful an accommodating as possible;
the lessons were consciencious, personally structured and
well timed. Cusco itself is a place to fire with nightly fiestas,
bubbling away behind ancient Inca city walls; it can be as
"party" or as peaceful as you want. The Cusqueñans
are the best; in particular, my host family were great fun
and couldn't have made me feel more welcome. Loved it.

Dear Acupari
Team
I would like to thank you for the good organization of the
language course. It was simply a perfect vacation for me.
All this wonderful experience and specially the incredible
hospitality that I experienced in Cusco are hard to describe.
I became so fond of Cusco in these four weeks, that I am already
planning my next visit
.
I wish you the very best and I am looking forward to seeing
you again.

Before I
came to Cusco, I was a foreign exchange student in a high
school in California. With my own experience in Germany, I
was already familiar with two different school systems in
which classes were crowded and the class itself became difficult
and dull.
In the mini-groups in ACUPARI, it is significantly easier
both for the teacher and the students. The atmosphere is more
than friendly and classes become complemented by the salsa
classes and cooking lessons that make the experience richer.

ACUPARI
is a small but nice school. Besides the foreigners that learn
Spanish, there are also Peruvians who want to learn German.
The TANDEM program is really the best to get to know the culture
and the city
..
On Fridays, Peruvian food was prepared. Also in my family
I was treated with Peruvian dishes.
ACUPARI arranged my volunteer work placement "Hogar Clínica
San Juan de Dios", I live in my own apartment. Once in
a while I drop by ACUPARI to say hello.
Muchos saludos,

Compared to our one-week
course in Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires, we would like
to remark the excellence and variety of the Spanish lessons
in ACUPARI.
This and the fact that we were offered to make up the classes
we missed due to a health problem clearly show the flexibility
of the school.
Addittionally, the school made it possible the contact with
our TANDEM partners. This contributed to our improving of
the language and and understanding od the culture in Cusco.
The interest of our TANDEMs in the German culture was great,
and it was a chance for us to think about our own culture.
The familiar atmosphere made the good-bye very difficult.
We wish the ACUPARI team good luck and success in the future.

Learning
Spanish in Cusco, the former Capital of the Incas, wahat else
can you ask for!!
The learning concept of the school comprises not only classes,
but also cultural events such as excursions, coking lessons,
salsa classes and movies. What is special is the TANDEM conversation
training. You can practice the language, you can get to know
the culture, the people and the city.
The atmosphere in the school is familiar and pleasant, host
families are carefully selected. |

It is over a month now,
that I am in Cusco; and even if I cannot believe it, I already
speak Spanish.
I was welcomed by my host family in Cusco's airport. "Hola,
Yo soy Thomas" and "gracias". That was all
I was able to say in Spanish. As I read books, watch T.V.,
talk to taxi drivers and my family in Spanish, I learned the
language, and I enjoyed the time here. The school had, of
course, a lot to do. It is interesting to get to know, with
different teachers in a one-to-one class as well as in a group,
not only the language but also the culture, the country, and
the people.
With my family, every day was a new experience. After school,
Peruvian food was served. They made me feel as a family member.
I felt at home, I did not feel that that I was only here for
a short while. The school took care of everything: Excursions
to place which a "tourist" will not normally visit,
Salsa classes, and cooking lessons with the teachers were
organized.
I would recommend a Language Course to those who want to travel
to South America. A week or two weeks can provide insight
into the world of Spanish and can make your living or surviving
much easier.
Thanks ACUPARI.
